YouTuber Cleanerwatt made an ownership comparison of the Tesla Cybertruck and the Ford F-150.
The Cybertruck will be available late next year, the F-150 taken to compare is the current model.
This is a kind of research revealing the assumptive five-year cost of ownership.
Cleanerwatt compared a dual-motor all-wheel-drive Tesla Cybertruck that starts at $51,190, and the Ford F-150 XLT SuperCrew with 4WD and a 4.0-liter V8 as the version closest to Tesla’s truck. It costs $45,185.
The video gives us a detailed picture of what we should expect. The expenses include sale tax, energy (fuel), insurance, financing, maintenance, repairs, depreciation.
5-year ownership costs / 75,000 miles TOTAL:
- $49,322 ($0.66/mi) for the F-150,
- $38,995 ($0.52/mi) for the Cybertruck.
See for yourself, it is worth attention.
