The Ford Escape will get a mid-cycle refresh for the 2023 model year. Now the model is in the early stages of testing judging by the first spy shots that began to appear.
The Blue Oval prepares the Ford Escape for the refresh in the middle of the life cycle of the current-generation Escape. In its turn, the full redesign is slated for the 2025 model year.
What to expect from the 2023 model?
The SUV will continue riding on Ford’s C2 platform, just like the relative Lincoln Corsair, which will be similarly updated for the 2023MY.
Exterior changes will include a more aggressive silhouette, a fully new front end design: new LED lights, sleeker lines, Ford’s latest grille design with an emblem of the brand integrated into slats. The revisions at the rear will be minor and include, first of all, taillights – they will echo the headlamps.
As for the changes inside, the next Ford Escape will likely adopt Ford’s latest SYNC 4 multimedia system and a large infotainment screen – a 15.5-inch one or of other sizes, but big enough.
Large center displays are typical for Ford Motor’s newest 2022 models: Focus, Expedition, F-150 Lightning, Lincoln Navigator, Mustang Mach-E or the upcoming 2023 Ford Ranger.
The Ford Escape is one of the brand’s best-selling models in the USA. This year, as of November 2, Ford sold 125,291 Escape vehicles there. By sales, it comes third after the F-Series, which is Ford’s constant first, and the Explorer.
