Wagon Body-Styled Toyota Corolla Will Be Introduced In Paris

After returning the Corolla name Toyota has presented the first images and informed some details of the Corolla Touring Sports. It will officially debut soon at the upcoming auto show in the capital of France.

This version will enter the market later this year not long after the regular hatchback, with which it shares the C-Pillar and not only.

The 2019 Toyota Corolla Touring Sports is designed in the brand’s European design center. It will be a rival for the Seat Leon ST.

The car has got all-LED taillights and will be offered with 4 two-tone color variants at start in addition to standard shades.

The wagon’s wheelbase is 2,700 mm, it is 609 mm longer than the hatch’s. Toyota claims the legroom for rear passengers is the best in class.

The car has a 598-liter trunk with seats raised, which is larger than the Leon ST’s, but smaller than other competitors’.

Only petrol engines will be available for the Touring Sports, including petrol-electric hybrid options topped by a new 2.0-liter 181-hp motor. A 1.2-liter 116-hp turbo engine will be basic.

The model will receive technologies not available on the outgoing vehicle, in particular HUD, wireless charging for smartphones or a premium JBL sound system.
