The European luxury compact SUV segment grew by 20% in 2018. Nearly 547,000 people became the owners of such vehicles. What models showed the best start in this fast-growing market niche?
Four debutants are successful with no doubt: the Volvo XC40, BMW X2, Jaguar E-Pace and the DS7 Crossback. They all have been on sale for just over a year, but already entered the European TOP 10 luxury compact SUVs.
47,000 Europeans chose the Volvo XC40 (6th place in the ranking). The Range Rover Evoque was the 7th, it is closer than others to its generation charge.
The BMW X2 sales in 2018 amounted to more than 36,000 (8th place), the Jaguar E-Pace – almost 28,000 (9th place) and the French DS7 Crossback – a little less than 19,000 (10th place).
