Scandinavian electric cars attract increasing interest from consumers.
Sales of the Volvo C40 Recharge and Polestar 2 are growing rapidly in Europe. The sales volume is also impressive.
Yes, the Volvo C40 just appeared at European dealers last year, but the number of buyers of the electric SUV has already exceeded 18,000. Such data is provided by JATO Dynamics. Almost 5,000 customers bought the C40 Recharge in December alone. The electric car is quite expensive – from €48,850 in Germany, for example. However, this does not prevent people from buying.
A similar trend is observed for another newcomer to the premium EV segment – the Polestar 2. It was liked by 31,810 purchasers, which is 66% more than a year ago. The price of the Polestar 2 is rather high – from 45,500 euros for the version with a single engine configuration.

We’d like to remind you that both Volvo and Polestar belong to the Chinese auto giant – Zhejiang Geely Holding Group or simply ‘Geely’.
By the way, another product of the parent company Geely, the Lynk & Co 01 crossover, also attracts more and more attention in Europe. Sales of the hybrid totaled 26,387 units in 2022, which is twice as much as in 2021.
