The refreshed 2021 Volkswagen Atlas receives a more stylish design, a new multimedia, four-wheel drive for a turbocharged version.
The VW Atlas has got a number of updates. New bumpers made the flagship SUV three inches larger. The model features new standard LED headlamps and taillights, according to Volkswagen of America.
Among the interior upgrades there is a new steering wheel and an 8-inch Composition Media infotainment system. In general, the 3-row crossover becomes bolder.
After restyling, the Atlas, like its outgoing version, will be available with one of two engines – a 276-hp V6 and a turbo-four with 235 horsepower. However, the 4Motion all-wheel drive is now available for a less powerful modification.
Volkswagen developed the Atlas specifically for the U.S. market, where large family SUVs are in good demand. According to the sales result of 2019, the model took the 13th place in American mid-size SUV segment with 81,500 units sold, CarSalesBase.com informs. The demand for the Atlas in the United States increased by 37 percent compared to 2018!
The 2021 Volkswagen Atlas will reach dealerships this spring. It will compete with the Subaru Ascent and the Kia Sorento.
