The German automaker has announced EPA-estimated fuel economy figures and driving range for the 2022 Volkswagen ID.4: they bettered.
The Volkswagen ID.4 for the new 2022 model year becomes more fuel-efficient and capable to cover a longer distance on a single charge. More precisely, the driving range of the rear-wheel-drive 2022 VW ID.4 Pro increased by 20 miles compared with the 2021 model: it is 280 miles now. The all-wheel-drive ID.4 Pro covers 251 miles, Pro S RWD – 268 miles, Pro S AWD – 245 miles. All data are EPA estimates.
As for the newly rated fuel economy figures (combined driving), they are the following: ID.4 Pro – 112 MPGe, Pro S – 106 MPGe, ID.4 Pro AWD – 101 MPGe, Pro S AWD – 95 MPGe.
The total output of the Volkswagen ID.4 is 201 horsepower and 229 pound-feet of torque. With all-wheel drive, the crossover offers 295 horsepower and 339 pound-feet.
Volkswagen also improved the charging capability of the 2022 ID.4: its DC fast-charging speed is enlarged from 125 kW to 135 kW.
The model comes with 3 years of unlimited 30-min sessions at Electrify America DC fast chargers at no additional cost. Customers will be able to use the Electrify America app. For the new model year, the ID.4 gets a Plug and Charge feature.
The 2022 pricing (MSRP, destination inclusive): Pro $41,995, Pro S $46,455. All-wheel-drive models are $3,680 more expensive.
