Volkswagen ID.4 Threw Off Its Camouflage: Leaked Photos, Tech Details

The first shots of the Volkswagen ID.4 all-electric crossover without disguise have leaked onto the Internet.

This is a production-ready car we can look at thanks to Chinese photo spies. It has resemblance with the ID.Crozz and ID.Crozz II concepts shown in 2017.

Sitting between the T-Roc and Tiguan by size, the ID.4 is 4592 mm (15.07 ft) long, 1852 mm (6.08 ft) wide, and 1629 mm (5.34 ft) high. The wheelbase is 2765 mm (9.07 ft).

The ID.4’s driving range is said to exceed 311 miles (400 km). The crossover’s electric motor will generate about 200 hp.

Among the rivals, Auto Express calls the Hyundai Kona Electric, Kia Niro EV and even the Tesla Model Y. The Jaguar I-Pace is not included, maybe, because of its much higher price.

We suppose the Volkswagen ID.4 will cost around 35,000-40,000 euros (equvalent of $39,300-44,900). Expect it on the European market next year. The model will be also on sale in the USA and other key markets of the brand.
