Potential owners of a purely electric Volkswagen ID.3 hatchback have placed pre-orders for a third of the first batch within just one day.
Volkswagen reported that the interest of buyers to the newest ID.3 EV exceeded all expectations. 24 hours after the start of registration, more than 10,000 people made reservations and paid a deposit of €1,000. Only 30,000 cars are available.
Electric cars from the first special ID.3 First series will cost at least €40,000. It is not the cheapest version. The entry-level ID.3, which goes on sale in mid-2020, will cost from €30,000.
The Volkswagen ID.3 is commensurate with the Volkswagen Golf. The official premiere of the electric car will be held at the Frankfurt Motor Show this fall.
