Honda has started road testing of the compact HR-V SUV. Spies managed to shoot the new car during tests in Southern Europe. According to the Motor 1 this is a European modification of the model, which will be presented before the end of this year.
In the photos the crossover is presented in minimal disguise. Judging by them, the restyled HR-V will get other bumpers, a new radiator grille, slightly modified optics and rear lights chrome edging.
Technical characteristics of the car are kept secret. According to unofficial data, Honda refuses to use a 1.6-liter diesel engine. Instead, the HR-V will get a hybrid modification. The powertrain of this version will include a 1.5-liter petrol motor, an electric engine and a seven-speed automatic transmission.
The SUV will also be offered with the same 1.5-liter petrol turbo motor of 130 horsepower, which is paired with a manual gearbox or automatics.
