The new-generation 2024 Ford Mustang will represent an evolutionary exterior and an overhauled interior.
The 2024 Ford Mustang S650 is almost here: its premiere will take place next week – on September 14, 2022, at “The Stampede” event. Ford has released several teasers to stir up interest in the upcoming debut. This generation should live 8 years.
The Ford Mustang is an icon and must be unmistakably identified at all times, so don’t expect an exterior styling revolution. The new car’s exterior with a number of styling tweaks is the evolution of the current S550 model.
The engines will be also the same as before – a 2.3L I-4 EcoBoost and a 5.0L V8 Coyote with up to 500 hp, – besides, not hybrid ones, contrary to expectations. It looks like the S650 model is the last non-electrified Mustang with a V8 engine under the hood.
New Interior Will Differ Much
What can really become almost unrecognizable is the next Mustang’s interior. Expect it to represent a significant deviation from the current model, meaning a big horizontally-oriented center touchscreen, fewer physical buttons, a new flat-bottom steering wheel, a different digital instrument cluster, and angular HVAC vents.
The current 2022 Mustang’s interior is stylish and solid, it offers high build quality, roomy and comfortable front seats, and a user-friendly infotainment system.
Besides, not many competitors have as much cargo room as the Mustang. The cabin is nice overall, but updates won’t be superfluous.
The current model’s interior does have some shortcomings, and Ford should try fixing them in the new-gen Mustang.
It’s about some hard plastic materials that keep the car from feeling as upscale as some rivals, not many standard features, tiny 2nd-row seats, and tight optional Recaro buckets seats.
