The 2021 Nissan Versa compact sedan has gone on sale at U.S. dealers nationwide. The manufacturer’s suggested retail price starts at $14,930.
Nissan fully redesigned the model in 2019. The 2021 Versa is the car with the most standard safety technology in its class.
Key exterior styling elements of “Emotional Geometry” design language include a V-motion grille, boomerang-shaped head- and tail lights, kick-up C-pillars and a floating roof.
The Nissan Versa interior includes the brand’s “Gliding Wing” instrument panel design. The interior features the best-in-class front legroom, a 60/40-split fold-down rear seat, a sporty D-shaped steering wheel, a ‘floating’ 7.0-inch touchscreen audio display, remote keyless entry and push button start.
A 1.6-liter 4-cylinder 122-hp (114 lb-ft) engine powers the 2021 Versa. Fuel economy of the Xtronic models is rated at 32/40/35 mpg (city/highway/combined).
The Nissan Safety Shield 360 is standard on the SV and SR Versas. It includes AEB with Pedestrian Detection, Rear Automatic Braking, Lane Departure Warning, High Beam Assist, Blind Spot Warning and Rear Cross Traffic Alert. Intelligent Driver Alertness is available too.
Three trim levels are on offer for 2021: S, SV, sporty SR, all available with an Xtronic transmission. A five-speed manual transmissions comes with the S cars.
The SR cars feature 17-inch aluminum-alloy wheels, LED headlamps, fog lights, an optional SR Convenience Package that adds heated front seats, Automatic Climate Control, Intelligent Cruise Control.
