Two Honda models – Odyssey and Accord of the 2019 model year have got ‘Best Cars for Families’ awards from the U.S. News & World Report magazine, a recognized leader in car rankings.
Experts selected both winners from 129 new vehicles. They awarded the Honda Accord (pictured above) as the best midsize car for families, while the Odyssey was titled the best family minivan.
We are not surprised, as Honda has won the ‘Best Cars for Families’ award 26 times since 2011, when this ranking was launched. It is the No.1 maker of vehicles for families in America, the undisputable leader.
The 2019 Honda Odyssey itself won its category for the 9th consecutive year!
When making the rankings, the compilers take into account reviews of automotive journalists, safety and reliability ratings, space for cargo and passengers, availability of family-friendly features.
A ’Best Car for Families’ winner, that is the vehicle with the highest composite score, is chosen in each of 11 car classes.
We can add that Honda is popular in North America, where it has 1,000 dealers and 19 facilities producing more than 90% of all vehicle of the brand sold in the USA.
Honda’s lineup includes the Fit, Civic, Insight, Accord, Clarity, HR-V, CR-V, Passport, Pilot, Ridgeline, Odyssey models.
