The closer to the premiere of the new-generation 2022 Toyota Tundra, the more details the automaker reveals. The latest photos show a large center touchscreen and a huge panoramic sunroof over the entire length of the roof.
An “iForce MAX” nameplate clearly indicates that the next Tundra will receive the new twin-turbo V6 engine. This powertrain is installed on the latest Land Cruiser and produces up to 409 horsepower in its non-hybrid version. Is unclear now if they will offer a hybrid version of the iForce MAX for the new Tundra. The current iForce V8 with 381 hp will be probably dropped.
As for the increase in the multimedia touchscreen’s size, everything is logical here. Toyota keeps pace with the times and takes into account modern market trends. An 8.0-inch display like the current Tundra’s is outdated. By the way, the updated Lincoln Navigator follows the same way. Expect the flagship to have a larger screen too.
The carmaker also shows the impressive panoramic sunroof. Judging by the nameplates, Toyota has published fragments of the TRD Pro version’s interior.
As a reminder, the 2022 Tundra will get rid of leaf springs on the rear suspension. Coil springs or air springs will replace them.
Today we don’t know the exact premiere date. The all-new Toyota Tundra should enter the market still this year.
