The current, 5th-generation Toyota RAV4 has received several exterior and interior updates for the 2022 model year. A new SE Hybrid version joins the lineup.
The manufacturer refreshed the Toyota RAV4 for the new, 2022 model year. Minor charges happened across all grades. In particular, the RAV4’s XSE, SE Hybrid and TRD Off-Road variants got a new Calvary Blue color with a black roof. Toyota also made a few updates to the wheels: new color and design.
The XLE trim and above now have revised headlamps, while new LED fog lamps are available for XLE Premium, Limited, Adventure, and TRD Off-Road. The XSE Hybrid boasts super sleek vertical lights.
Inside, Toyota added LED interior lamps and a locking glove box, plus an 8-way power passenger seat (Limited) and illuminated interior switches (XLE and above).
More importantly, the 2022 Toyota RAV4 receives the new SE Hybrid trim level that features monotone paint, fabric seats, a 7-inch touchscreen with 6 speakers, and unique packages.
The weather package includes a heated leather steering wheel, heated front seats, rain-sensing windshield wipers with a de-icer function.
The convenience package offers a moon roof, a height-adjustable power liftgate, the Audio Plus system which upgrades to a 9-inch touchscreen.
Sales of the new RAV4 will begin in the middle of next month. More details and pricing will be announced closer to the on-sale time.
We’d like to add that this year the Toyota RAV4 celebrates its 25 anniversary in North America. This model remains the segment leader and America’s best-seller (Toyota’s No.1) for the past years. 338,441 RAV4s were sold in the USA from January to October 2021.
