The upcoming 2019 Chicago Auto Show (February 9-18) will be the place where the 2020 Toyota Land Cruiser Heritage Edition officially debuts. This is a special limited version released to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the iconic model.
Toyota’s U.S. lineup has comprised the Land Cruiser since 1958. 1,200 Heritage Edition vehicles will enter the market in late summer of 2019. Toyota will announce the price closer to on-sale date.
This version has two rows of seats, exclusive exterior and interior trim. Midnight Black Metallic or Blizzard Pearl exterior colors are offered.
Distinctive outside features are a black-accented grille, BBS 18 x 8.0-inch forged aluminum wheels of bronze color with a “Toyota” center cap, a vintage-style Land Cruiser badge, darkened housings of lights and side mirrors.
Inside you can find black leather-trimmed upholstery and contrast bronze-colored stitching, a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
The powertrain includes refined 5.7-liter 381-hp DOHC V8 engine producing 401 lbft (544 Nm) of torque. It works in combination with an 8-speed electronically controlled automatic transmission and a full-capability four-wheel drive with advanced chassis control.
Trailer Towing Package is standard. It allows pulling a trailer up to 8,100 pounds (3,674kg).
Standard equipment includes Downhill Assist Control, Hill Start Assist, CRAWL Control (for low-speed off-road driving in extreme conditions) and Off-Road Turn Assist.
