Toyota Corolla for 2020 will be Hybrid Only in the UK

Toyota has refreshed the British-built Corolla range for 2020. The popular model becomes all-hybrid and receives new versions.

Customers can choose from Sedan (Saloon) priced at £24,140, Hatchback (£24,140) and Touring Sports (£25,410) body styles.

On the UK market, all the 2020 vehicles are hybrid now, with two self-charging powertrains: based either on the upgraded 1.8-liter 122-hp (120bhp) engine or a new 2.0-liter 184-hp (181bhp) one.

They are applied to decrease emissions, improve response and fuel economy. The new Toyota C-HR SUV utilizes the same hybrid technology.

Toyota’s latest multimedia system, Apple Car Play and Android Auto smartphone integration come standard now through the whole range of the model.

The new versions join the lineup: GR Sport and TREK. They are developed, respectively, by Gazoo Racing, Toyota’s motorsport division, and in partnership with the bicycle manufacturer TREK.

Deliveries of these modifications will begin in January 2020.

The Toyota Corolla is one of seven finalists of the 2020 European Car of the Year. A winner will be announced at Geneva in March 2020, and it well may be the Corolla.
