Toyota Corolla Cross Makes Its Way to Americans Next Month

U.S.-assembled Toyota Corolla Cross is coming to American dealerships in October. The starting price is $22,195. All-wheel drive is available.

The Toyota Corolla Cross combines the agility of a small car with the versatility of a crossover. It sits on a high-strength TNGA-C platform and is powered by a 2.0-liter 169-hp Dynamic Force Engine in pair with CVT. Customers can opt for a front-wheel-drive model or an all-wheel-drive one. The latter costs an additional $1,300.

Toyota emphasizes the vehicle’s outstanding spaciousness and surprising cargo capacity. The towing capacity is up to 1,500 pounds. The exterior features LED lighting, 17-inch steel or 18-inch alloy wheels, seven color choices.

The interior offers a power moonroof, single- or dual-zone automatic climate control, fabric-trimmed seats, a 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, a center armrest with two additional cupholders, power liftgate with height adjustability.

The standard equipment includes a 7-inch multimedia display (an 8-inch one is optional), 4.2-inch MID, Apple CarPlay/ Android Auto/ Amazon Alexa, SiriusXM trial, rear HVAC Vents, Toyota Safety Sense 2.0, remote Keyless Entry, 3 USB ports.

Three trim levels are available with the following prices for an FWD model: $22,195 – L, $24,545 – LE, $26,325 – XLE. Pricing excludes a $1,215 Delivery, Processing and Handling Fee. Toyota will build the Corolla Cross at the new Mazda Toyota Manufacturing plant in Huntsville, Alabama.

In the lineup for the American market, the Toyota Corolla Cross slots between the C-HR (from $21,595) and RAV4 (from $26,250). The crossover will be reaching U.S. dealerships next month.
