A new small SUV will join Toyota’s European lineup.
The new model is based on the GA-B variant of the Toyota New Global Architecture, shared with a new Yaris range.
This platform is flexible and supporting various lengths, heights, widths. Toyota will make the new car at the factory in Onnaing (France), along with the Toyota Yaris.
The company revealed its plans to introduce a new B-SUV model and showed its stylized silhouette in January 14, 2020, at the event in Amsterdam.
Toyota believes the new model will be successful and spur sales of the brand in Europe. Together with the Yaris, the new crossover should account for around 30% of sales volume of the brand in the region by 2025.
Its name and characteristics will be unveiled later. The manufacturer promises it will have modern dynamic design and its own personality.
