Fans of sports cars have been waiting for the Supra return for more than 20 years. The 2020 model has made its debut at the 2019 Detroit Auto Show. The customers will be able to purchase the all-new Toyota Supra soon.
The base Toyota GR Supra will be available at the manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) of $49,990 in North America. The other Supra on sale in this market is the 3.0 Premium model that costs from $53,990. This trim level has the same mechanical part as the GR Supra, but is more luxurous and hi-tech inside.
The first 1,500 Supras for the United States will be the Launch Edition models (a special limited version) priced at $55,250. Motor enthusiasts and collectors wishing to be the first owners of this iconic sports car should place their orders now. Each vehicle will get an individual number and have distinctive features. Toyota dealers will process all the orders.
For comparison: in the UK there are two main trim levels – a standard GR Supra 3.0L (£52,695) and a GR Supra 3.0L Pro (£54,000). A special Supra A90 Edition will be also available at launch (£56,945) in limited quantity of 24 cars for those who prepay a pre-sale reservation.
Regardless of a version, the 2020 Toyota Supra is powered by a 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder turbo engine. It develops 335 horsepower and combines with an 8-speed automatic transmission.
The Supra’s standard safety features include forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane departure warning, road signs help and automatic high beam.
The first Supra vehicles will go on sale in the summer of 2019.
