Toyota and Subaru Will Unveil a New Jointly Developed Car on April 5

A teaser image hinting at a new vehicle made by Toyota and Subaru together has appeared. In the meantime, there is a reason for conjecture – what could it be?

As it follows from the teaser, they will unveil this mysterious model in 10 days – on April 5, 2021. What we know is that there will be an online conference “Let’s make ever-better cars together,” at which the bosses of both companies reveal details.

The new model makes its debut at the event. Toyota Gazoo Racing’s President Koji Sato and Subaru’s Chief Technical Officer Tetsuro Fujinuki will be the speakers.

So, what is this model?

Motor1 suggests it may be the next generation of the Toyota 86, the counterpart of the Subaru BRZ (in the photo), taking into account that the Gazoo Racing (GR) division is involved.

An all-new model – an electric crossover, is possible too. Last week, Toyota previewed an EV SUV for the premiere at the 2021 Shanghai Motor Show, and there will be a version of that vehicle from Subaru.

We’ll soon find out, there’s not long to wait.
