Porsche plans to launch a more powerful Cayenne Turbo to compete with the Bentley Bentayga Speed and the Lamborghini Urus.
This hottest modification in a coupe body style will join the model lineup at the end of June 2021. Under the hood, there will be a 4.0-liter twin-turbo 8-cylinder engine producing 631 hp (89 hp extra). Sales of the regular Cayenne Turbo will continue too.
The car’s bespoke features include 22-inch forged aluminum wheels, brakes with ceramic composite discs, a carbon-fiber active aerodynamic package, a more efficient brake cooling and engine bay, parts of the Lightweight Sport Package.
Porsche revamps a front bumper, a roof spoiler, a rear diffuser. The curb weight is claimed to undercut 2200 kg of the standard model.
The engine upgrades include a titanium exhaust system and new engine management software. For the new range-topper, the manufacturer also revises the gearbox’s software, 4WD system, and electronic differential. The new model’s 0-62 mph acceleration will be between 3.6-3,8 seconds according to Porsche.
As for the dynamic modifications, the automaker lowers the adaptive air suspension, makes damper rates firmer, and tunes the active roll stabilization system and steering. The latter incorporates Porsche’s Power Steering Plus rear-wheel steering system.
