The Tesla Model 3 topped the list of TOP 20 electric vehicles in Europe based on sales in September 2021. A somewhat unexpectedly high place was taken by the Czech crossover Skoda Enyaq iV. The MG ZS EV also got into the TOP 20.
In September 2021, 24,419 Tesla Model 3s were sold in Europe. This result allowed the American model not only to take first place in the TOP 20 Electric Vehicles in Europe but also to become an undisputed leader in the overall standings, displacing the Renault Clio, Dacia Sandero and Volkswagen Golf.
Another Tesla model – the Model Y compact SUV with a result of 8,906 sales took second place in this ranking. For comparison: in the United States in September 2021, 12,285 Tesla Model 3 cars and 15,120 Tesla Model Ys were sold.
It is clear that Europe has been shifting to electrification. Moreover, these rates are much ahead of the American ones. One can only guess what kind of “green” boom the continent will face when Elon Musk completes the construction of Tesla’s European plant.
However, let’s return to the September TOP 20 EVS in Europe. The third place of the Volkswagen ID.3 (8,263 cars), and the fourth of the Renault ZOE (6,577 units) are not surprising.
But the fact the newcomer Skoda Enyaq iV (5,913 sales) entered the TOP 5 is unexpected. Its starting price of €33,800 in combination with good quality and 500 km of driving range, may well explain the popularity of the Czech electric SUV.

It is worth noting getting the affordable Dacia Spring into the TOP 10 list. The 20th place of the MG ZS EV crossover is also interesting. The latter is already on sale in Germany, the Netherlands and Great Britain, and, as we can see, it even enjoys a certain demand.
