Land Rover has officially confirmed the Defender 130, which could seat as many as eight.
This version is targeted at North America, China, and the Middle East. The three-row SUV brings extra practicality and should improve sales, already good indeed, of the model.
The Land Rover Defender 130 will have a 119-inch wheelbase. Its body is 201 inches long: almost the same as the Cadillac Escalade or GMC Yukon’s.
The powertrains are not detailed yet. Expect a supercharged V8 will be available, as well as diesel options (in selected markets).
A plug-in-hybrid version based on a combination of a 296-hp 4-cylinder engine and a 139-hp electric motor is underway too. Although it is unclear now if it will reach the North American shores.
