The Opel Corsa Has Got A New Engine Of Euro 6.2 Standard

Opel has refreshed the Corsa hatchback a bit. The main innovation is a 1.4-liter Euro 6.2 engine, which entered the lineup of one of the brand’s most popular models.

The new petrol engine has a working volume of 1.4 liters. It is offered in two power options – 75 and 90 hp. The maximum torque is 130 Nm. Both versions of the engine are mated with five-speed manual transmission. The automatic gearbox is offered as an option only for a more powerful motor.

The emission of carbon dioxide is 130 g/km. As Opel assures, the average fuel consumption in the Opel Corsa’s new engine with the manual transmission is 5.6 liters per 100 km, and 6.1 liters on the version with the automatic gearbox.

After restyling the hatch also received a new entry trim level called Active. It comes with Bluetooth, 15-inch alloy wheels and cruise control.

Besides, Opel introduced a Lux-package, which costs £1,550 (about €1,758). There is a rear-view camera, climate control and 17-inch alloy wheels.

We can add that this year a sports Corsa GSi should also enter the market with a 1.4-liter petrol engine, but with a turbocharger. Its capacity is 150 hp. This GSi will have the Recaro sports seats and share the suspension and brakes with the hot VXR version.
