The New-Generation Porsche 911 Coupe Is Spied On New Photos

The new-generation Porsche 911 coupe is spied on new photos. The rear-wheel-drive car with index ‘992’ was seen with no disguise.

It features new front bumper and body panels, air intakes of a different shape. Headlights are new inside.

The car maker refreshed the rear end significantly: the lights are combined into a single unit with a thin line of LED elements. The shape of the hood’s lid and slots changed too.

The rear bumper has been radically updated. The twin tailpipes are moved closer to the central part. A wing is expected to draw from under the rear with the help of hydraulics, if necessary, to make the new Porsche more stable at high speeds.

The Porsche 911 (992) will be built on upgraded MMB platform with a wider use of aluminum and high-strength steel. The dimensions are not expected to change much. Later, this architecture can be the basis for the Cayman and Boxter.

The GT3 modification will receive a turbocharged 500-hp engine. The current 911 Carrera and Carrera S will retain their opposing 3.0-liter 9A2 motors, but powered and upgraded. In a couple of years Porsche will present a hybrid version with a 700-hp powertrain.

The most powerful Turbo S version will have a high-performance opposing twin-turbo V6 of 3.8 liters, as well as a reduced weight. To compete with a 661-hp Ferrari 488 GTB the engine’s output will be brought to 630 hp.

The manufacture will present the new car at the upcoming Auto Show in Los-Angeles.
