Spies photographed the forthcoming Lexus LC F during testing in Germany. This high-performance version of the current Lexus LC coupe will rival the BMW M8 and even the Porsche 911 Carrera GTS, Carbuyer reports.
The light masking does not hide the changes. The front end features large cutouts on each side of the radiator grille, probably for cooling purpose, with an oil cooler visible well. The wheel arches in front are widened for better cornering performance and stability. We can also see a more aggressive front splitter.
At the rear there are new bumpers and a diffuser, as well as exhaust pipes typical for Lexus F models. The roof is made of carbon fiber.
According to insides, the model could get a new 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine with 608-hp output. Within the next 1.5-2 years a convertible LC model is expected as a competitor to the German rivals. The Lexus LC F’s appearance comes ahead of it.
Yoshihiro Sawa, Lexus boss, admits the luxury market needs a convertible as well as high-performance cars. According to him, Lexus will continue changing and developing for it not to be a boring brand.
