The luxury SUV significantly boosted RR sales in Europe.

2022 has most likely become a landmark year for Rolls-Royce in Europe and beyond. Sales of the brand on the continent, according to JATO Dynamics, amounted to 867 cars. 519 of them are the Cullinan crossovers!

Taking into account the price of Rolls-Royce Cullinan –  380,000 euros and more, depending on the configuration, the luxurious SUV significantly increases the company’s sales in Europe and “makes money” for the brand.

By the way, 249 wealthy Europeans became the owners of the traditional Rolls-Royce Ghost, 68 of the Rolls-Royce Phantom, and 31 customers chose the Rolls-Royce Dawn cabriolet. That is, the difference with the Rolls-Royce Cullinan sales is obvious.

It is worth noting that the Porsche Cayenne was an undisputed commercial success of the time. Later a smaller Macan contributed to the success of Porsche. However, it is not quite correct to compare the price range here. Porsche crossovers are certainly expensive, but many times cheaper.

The Cullinan is not the only well-sold luxury SUV in Europe. For example, the Aston Martin DBX was bought by 725 customers last year, and the Lamborghini Urus by 1,425. If the DBX is also not a very good comparison from the point of view of price (about 190,000 euros), then the Urus costs about the same as the Rolls-Royce Cullinan and is three times more popular.
