The Tesla Model 3 has successfully passed a series of crash tests conducted by the U.S. National Highway Transportation Safety Administration (NHTSA).
The sedan earned 5 Stars in all categories, including frontal crash, side crash and rollover. It also topped the rating in subcategories, such as side pole and side barrier.
Two other Tesla’s models – the X and S – have also succeeded in the NHTSA’s tests achieving the highest 5 Stars score.
It’s optimistic news, especially after unpleasant incident with participation of the Model X crossover in March (a fatal crash) and assertions around the company’s Autopilot driver-assistance system.
