If a person’s phone is unable to connect to the emergency number for whatever reason, a network-connected Tesla helps.

Elon Musk got a request via Twitter, after a Tesla Model 3 owner couldn’t call to the ‘911’ service using his cellphone, but noticed that the car still had a network connection.

Musk usually responds to customer requests, and regularily accepts good ideas of Tesla owners. This time he replied, “Absolutely.”

So, expect the 911 dialing feature to be added to Tesla vehicles. Of course, it should yet to be solved and worked out how it will operate in reality.
