A live stream of the event starts at 4:30 p.m. Eastern Time (10:30 p.m. CEST) on September 22, 2020.
The event will consist of two parts: a meeting for Tesla stockholders, followed then by the Battery Day itself, when the company will share details about its current and future battery technologies.
The Tesla Fremont factory will host the Day. Those who are not able to visit the facility physically (thousands of us) will have a chance to see all virtually, in the live stream form. A tour of cell production, by the way, will be part of the Battery Day.
This event is much talked about and one of the most anticipated. Mr. Musk has been stirring the interest to it within the past few months.
Expect Tesla will share a piece of info about a battery with a million-mile lifetime, larger range, and a less expensive one. We know the carmaker is working on reducing cobalt in its battery packs, that may help make Tesla batteries cheaper.
