Subaru has earned the Vincentric 2020 Best Certified Pre-Owned Value in America Awards.
The company can boast six honors: two won by the brand itself and four by the models.
Subaru has become the brand winner in the Passenger Car and SUV/Crossover categories.
Such models as the Impreza, Legacy, Outback and Crosstrek Hybrid lead each in its segment, namely in the Compact Hatchback, Mid-Size Car, Mid-Size SUV/Crossover and Hybrid SUV/Crossover segments, respectively.
The Subaru Outback (pictured), by the way, wins for the third consecutive year.
Vincentric, an American private compiler and analyzer of automotive data, conducted a statistical analysis to found out which vehicles had lower than expected ownership cost given their market segment and price.
Vincentric studied more than 15,000 car configurations taking into account eight value factors: fees and taxes, financing, fuel, insurance, opportunity cost, depreciation, maintenance, repairs.
They measured the costs after incorporation of the specific CPO (Certified Pre-Owned) warranty that a manufacturer offers.
Mileage requirements needed for an OEM CPO vehicle authorization were also applied, with the assumption that each vehicle would be driven 15,000 miles per year over five years.
