Subaru of America has announced pricing for the STI S209. It comes exclusively for the U.S. car market in a limited quantity of just 209 vehicles.
This is the first-ever S-line STI. Retailers will receive the cars later this year. The price is $63,995, plus $885 Destination and Delivery charge.
Being an S-line high-performance car, the 2019 Subaru STI S209 receives upgrades in handling, driving, aerodynamics and power, as well as multiple tweaks to elevate it from other STI sedans.
It features the brand’s 2.5-liter 341-hp BOXER engine, Brembo brakes with new high-friction pads, unique 19×9-inch forged BBS wheels with bespoke Dunlop SP Sport Maxx GT 600A tires.
The S209 is inspired by the WRX STI Nürburgring Challenge race car, the SP3T class winner at the 2019 24 Hours of Nürburgring.
It comes exclusively with a close-ratio 6-speed manual gearbox transmitting power to a full-time Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system.
Among other things, the S209 receives a new high-flow fuel pump, larger fuel injectors, an STI-tuned engine control module, high-performance mufflers, bigger stainless-steel 101-mm exhaust tips delivering aggressive appearance and acoustics.
Available exterior colors / BBS wheel combinations are WR Blue Pearl / matte gray wheels and Crystal White Pearl / matte gold wheels.
Only 209 cars will be built exclusively for the Unites States.
