A three-row Subaru Ascent SUV successfully filled the gap in the brand’s model lineup in the USA.
Americans bought 7,014 Ascents in June 2019. A year ago, when this largest model of Subaru had just entered the market, it sales were 3 times lower. Now they’ve grown by 270%!
Thomas J. Doll, Subaru of America’s President and CEO, speaking about the company’s results in the first half of 2019, said the three-row SUV gave customers exactly what they needed: utility.
The Subaru Ascent filled the vacuum which has been for many years in the brand’s model range in America.
June has become the 64th consecutive month, when the automaker sold more than 40,000 cars in the United States. Apart from success of the Ascent, demand increased for the Outback (+8.9%) and the Forester (+5.7%).
Subaru of America reported that 61,511 units were sold in June 2019. This is the best June for the company in this market.
From the beginning of the year, the sales volume has become a record – 339,525 vehicles.
