The Skoda Vision iV won the Best of Mobility 2019 Award.
Readers of the German VISION mobility automotive magazine voted for it as for the best in the “Concept Car” category.
Skoda Auto’s representative took the prize at the NEW MOBILITY WORLD event, which is part of the 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show.
Editors nominated 5 winners selected from 18 categories, including, for instance, the “Public Transport”, “Energy Concept”, “Mobile Services” categories. Readers could make their choices from April 1 to July 31, 2019.
The Skoda Vision iV has become the people’s favorite among concept cars. Its “Best of Mobility” reward is well-deserved, we believe.
This agile 4-door crossover coupé has the sporty emotional exterior design and spacious modern interior. The vehicle is powered by a couple of electric motors with 306-hp (225 kW) output and four-wheel drive.
Skoda enters the e-mobility sector by launching the plug-in hybrid Superb iV and the pure electric Citigo e iV models. They are built on Volkswagen’s electric MEB platform, as well as the winning Vision iV (which is, by the way, the first Skoda car to use this architecture).
The first series-production MEB-based vehicles will arrive next year.
By 2022, Skoda will introduce at least 10 new electrified models. The company invests €2 billion in new mobility services and lternative drive systems.
