From now on, customers can purchase the Skoda Karoq and Skoda Kodiaq crossovers with a 2.0-liter 190-hp gasoline engine.
Skoda added a new top engine to the Karoq’s and Kodiaq’s motor ranges. It is about the turbocharged 4-cylinder 2.0-liter TFSI made by the parent Volkswagen, delivering 190 hoursepower.
The engine is combined only with an all-wheel drive system and a dual-clutch 7-speed automatic transmission (DSG).
The Skoda Karoq with this unit is claimed to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 7.0 seconds, and the larger and heavier Kodiaq – in 7.7 seconds.
The new engine is available only for the Sportline version of the Karoq (upper picture). For Kodiaq, there are more choices: Sportline, Scout, SE L, Edition and luxury L&K.
