The power of the CUPRA Formentor VZ5 engine reaches 390 hp.
The Formentor VZ5’s highlight is a well-known 5-cylinder 2.5 TFSI engine. The winner of numerous awards, this engine has shown itself well on powerful VAG cars, in particular on some Audi.
For the CUPRA Formentor VZ5, which is the most powerful Seat model to date, the peak engine output is set at 390 hp or 287 kW. Maximum power is achieved at a frequency of 5700 to 7000 rpm.
As for the torque, it reaches 480 Nm. Peak torque is available at a frequency of 2250 rpm.
It is worth mentioning another feature of the 2.5 TFSI. Its cylinders work in the sequence 1-2-4-5-3. This provides the original sound of the engine emphasizing the nature of the five-cylinder unit.
The engine is mated to a seven-speed DSG and all-wheel drive.
The Formentor VZ5 accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in 4.2 seconds. Electronics do not allow speeding up faster than 250 km/h.
By the way, the base CUPRA Formentor has a 4-cylinder engine with 245 horsepower.
