Scottish Tweed Becomes Part of Bentley Cars’ Interior

Mulliner, Bentley’s bespoke division, offers optional tweed door trims with the fabric sourced from Lovat Mill in Hawick, Scotland.

Customers can select from four tweed patterns: a countryside green Cheltenham, a dark bluish Charcoal, a tan Sand Herringbone, and a bold check Glen Plaid–Tolsta Beach. All are nice, in our opinion, and are blend in with the leather interior.

Lovat Mill’s tweed fabrics are free of harmful chemicals. The maker uses 90 percent of its electricity from renewable sources during production.

Bentley partners Lovat Mill as part of a plan to become the sustainable luxury mobility leader. By 2026, all Bentley vehicles will be plug-in hybrid and fully electric.

The Bentley models with Lovat Mill’s fabric trims are the Bentayga, Continental GT and Flying Spur.

Moreover, you can meet tweed fabrics from other sources inside the Mulliner Bacalar, Bentley Continental GT convertible and the Equestrian Edition. The last uses beautiful diamond quilted tweed.
