Rivian is popularizing the upcoming R1T all-electric pickup truck with the help of informative and entertaining videos.
A new episode of Adventurous Forever shows how years of listening, watching, learning and doing have led to the vehicles Rivan is building today.
The 2021 Rivian R1T comes as a 5-passenger crew cab with a 4.6-foot bed (1.4 m), plenty of storage place, the ground clearance up to 14.1 in (358 mm) and an impressive towing capacity of 11,000 lb (4,990 kg).
The all-wheel drive vehicle is powered by the motors in each wheel delivering over 750 hp. The driving range is 300-400 miles (483-644 km) depending on a battery option. 0-60 mph (0-97 km/h) acceleration takes 3.0 seconds.
The starting price is $69,000 before the $7,500 federal tax credit. Rivian planned to start deliveries in November 2020, but due to the coronavirus pandemic has to reschedule the production to 2021.
