The automaker has announced pricing for the 2023 Nissan Frontier. The truck is currently on sale.
The 2023 Nissan Frontier costs from to $30,485 to $40,415 including a $1,295 destination fee. By comparison, the prices for the previous 2022 model started at $29,015 for a base vehicle and go to $38,415 for a top-end Frontier PRO-4X. We observe a price rise here.
Frontier Or Not Frontier
Nissan Frontier was also sold under the Navara or NP300 names in select markets, but since 2021 it has become a separate model in North America. The ‘Frontier’ nameplate has been used since 1997 when it replaced the Hardbody.
A full redesign for the 2022 model year allowed the Nissan Frontier to compete better in the compact pickup truck segment against such rivals as the Toyota Tacoma, Ford Ranger, Chevrolet Colorado, or the Jeep Gladiator.
Now the Frontier pickup features a contemporary, well-built cabin with a user-friendly infotainment system and comfortable seats, a smooth ride, and composed handling, plus it feels rather good in off-road conditions.
Its V6 engine is capable, but it is the sole choice. Frankly speaking, the truck could have a more varied powertrain lineup.
Yes, the Nissan Frontier is a nice pick… but not the best. For example, in terms of fuel economy or towing ability, it is outperformed by several competitors. The Pro-4X model is the best off-roader in the Frontier lineup, but it is still not as good on off-road as the Tacoma TRD Pro, Colorado ZR2, or Gladiator Rubicon.
2023 Nissan Frontier
The 2023 model year is the second for the new-gen Frontier. The pickup truck has undergone minor changes across the range, such as optional packages available on certain trim levels, new stitching, and some new features unavailable before, like wireless Apple CarPlay on the Frontier PRO-X and PRO-4X.
The Midnight Edition package on the SV Crew Cab version adds black accents. The SV Convenience Package for the SV Crew Cab Long Wheelbase model adds some conveniences: heating of seats and a steering wheel, spray-in bedliner, a Utili-track system, under-rail bed lighting, and some other ‘goodies’.
Customers can purchase the 2023 Nissan Frontier either in King Cab or Crew Cab configuration, with drive 4×4 or 4×2, either 5- or 6-foot bed, and in one of four trim levels – S, SV, Pro-X, or Pro-4X.
