Ram 1500 TRX Shows High Demand, Will a Street-Tuned Version Follow?

The Ram 1500 TRX Launch Edition is already sold out, just within 3 hours after order books opened. It is about all 702 vehicles available to order.

This limited-run special version costs from $90,315, and brings more luxury and convenience than the non-Launch TRX truck.

It features Anvil Grey paint, unique graphics, beadlock-capable wheels, a commemorative dash badge, adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist. The model comes with the Level 2 Equipment Package including leather and suede upholstery, heated and ventilated seats.

As each 1500 TRX, the Launch Edition pickup gets power from a monstrous supercharged 6.2-liter Hellcat V8 that delivers 702 hp (523 kW) and 650 lb-ft (881 Nm).

Soon the Ram 1500 TRX will be available for sale in Europe too. This very capable truck can go from zero to 60 mph (96.6 km/h) in just 4.5 seconds, and hit 100 mph (160 km/h) in 10.5 seconds. It covers the quarter-mile sprint in 12.9 seconds.

FCA does not plan a lesser and cheaper TRX model without the Hellcat engine. At least, in the near future.

Judging by a recent interview to MuscleCarsAndTrucks, Ram is “not looking at anything at the moment here that’s going to be a hardcore street truck.”
