The day before yesterday BMW introduced the new X1 after facelift. The price for the European market will start from €32,700, with the US pricing to be announced later.
The 2020 BMW X1 will cost the cheapest €32,700 in Europe for now.
It is about the sDrive18i model with a 1.5-liter 3-cylinder petrol turbo motor developing 140 hp and 220Nm (162lb-ft) of torque combined with a manual 6-speed transmission and rear-wheel drive.
An automatic gearbox will cost additional €2,100. One more petrol (gasoline) choice is the fastest-in-the-range xDrive25i model producing 231hp.
As for the diesel versions available, the sDrive20d model is priced at €40,550.
For this money a customer gets the automatic gearbox as standard, better fuel efficiency and improved noise, vibration, harshness (NVH). This version is powered by a 190-hp diesel engine that delivers 400Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque.
The higher level car will be the BMW X1 xDrive25d with 231hp and 450Nm (332 lb-ft).
The hybrid xDrive25e modification will arrive later in 2019. It is expected to become a best-seller in the X1 lineup.
