Nissan has announced the price of the LEAF Plus for the US car market. The car goes on sale this month and will cost from $36,550.
The prefix ‘Plus’ in the name of the new Leaf’s modification means more battery capacity (62 kWh) and more powerful powertrain (214hp).
The driving range of the basic version (LEAF S Plus) is 226 miles. The regular LEAF, for comparison, has 150 miles of range.
Besides, a new transmission allows 13% faster acceleration and more efficient charging.
The electric car is offered in three versions: Nissan LEAF S Plus will cost from $36,550, LEAF SV Plus – from $38,510, LEAF SL Plus – from $42,550.
The standard 2019 Nissan LEAF is equipped with a 40kW rechargeable battery. It is also available in S, SV and SL trim levels and costs from $29,990.
