Porsche runs the Cayman GT4 Clubsport rally concept car. Fans will be able to see its testing in real conditions at the ADAC Rallye Deutschland held in August 16-19.
This is a special course car for the FIA R-GT category based on the near-production GT circuit race vehicle. By the end of 2018 the carmaker will decide if it can be used as a rally project for customers.
The French racer Romain Dumas, the repeated Le Mans winner, will drive this car. The factory drivers Richard Lietz (Austria) and Timo Bernhard (Germany) are also involved in the test program with the Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport.
The car is equipped with a flat-six 3.8-liter 385-hp engine. The mid-mounted motor drives the rear wheels. The vehicle features Porsche dual clutch transmission, full underbody protection, an energy-absorbing foam element like on WRC cars.
Porsche invites all interested people to visit the service park and take a close look at the Cayman GT4 Clubsport.
