Thanks to 27 new developments, the Porsche Taycan becomes the most innovative car in the global automotive market.
The Center of Automotive Management (CAM) has published its report. Scientists of this independent scientific institute for strategic consulting and empirical automotive and mobility research recognized the Porsche Taycan as a winner of the Most Innovative Model Award.
13 of 27 Taycan’s innovations are world firsts. Among other things, they include a 800-volt architecture, a two-speed transmission on the rear axle, the high recuperative power of up to 265 kW, and the best cd value in the segment (from 0.22).
CAM analysts have studied innovations of global automotive manufacturers since 2005.
In partnership with PwC, an auditing and consulting company PricewaterhouseCoopers, they select the winners and give them awards. For 2019-2020, they evaluated nearly 250 production vehicles.
The award ceremony is taking place in a digital live format on July 14, 2020. Viewers can follow the live stream at https://www.pwc.de7dat from 5.00 p.m. CEST (11 a.m. EDT).
Markus Lanz from German television broadcaster ZDF will host the Digital Automotive Talk. The subject is “Upheaval and transformation in the automotive industry – innovations as the key to successfully overcoming the crisis”.
Apart from the Most Innovative Model Award, the Porsche Taycan can also boast 40 prestigious international awards, including in Germany, the USA, Great Britain and China.
Among them, there is the World Car of the Year 2020 Award, for instance.
