On October 18, the Supervisory Board of Porsche AG decided to launch a series production of the Mission E Cross Turismo concept. It is the second electric sports car from Zuffenhausen.
Porsche will create 300 additional jobs at its plant in Zuffenhausen for the production of the car. The company presented it at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show.
The Mission E Cross Turismo, ready for use on the roads, became a bright premiere at the exhibition in Geneva. Both visitors and the media liked the model.
The four-door Cross Turismo has a 800-volt architecture and is ready for connection to fast charging stations.
Its output is 600 hp, a driving range is 500 km according to NEDC. The car is a modification of the Porsche Taycan.
The first all-electric Porsche comes to market in 2019. With the launch of the Taycan in Zuffenhausen, 1,200 new jobs are created.
The carmaker paid much attention to eco-friendliness of production, which will be neutral in terms of CO2 emissions.
By 2022, Porsche plans to invest more than six billion euros in electric mobility.
