Porsche has published a video teaser of the restyled Porsche Macan SUV. It shows prototypes testing in South Africa – off-road, on asphalt and gravel roads, as well as at an altitude of 3,400 meters above sea level in Lesotho.
There is still little information about the restyled Macan. Its appearance is expected to facelift a bit. They also will add new instrument panel and multimedia system with an enlarged display like on the new Cayenne and Panamera. More aluminum will be used in the car structure.
The engines of the updated Macan will be more powerful. It is assumed the output of the basic unit will increase from 252 to about 300 horsepower, and from 340 to 360 hp in the S modification. The Turbo variant will be 40 hp more powerful, so a 3.6-liter V6 is reinforced up to 440 hp.
A diesel engine and a hybrid powertrain will not be offered for the model. The hybrid version is likely to arrive only for the next-generation car.
The premiere of the model will take place at the end of this month. The first to have the new car available will be the Chinese motorists.
