The Porsche Cayenne Coupe is coming, after years of rumors and expectations. The 2020 model should arrive to showrooms in late 2019.
A spy video that appeared on the Internet 2 weeks ago and photos of the prototypes demonstrate the car with the latest-Cayenne-like frond end but a different rear. The taillights, a new liftback-style tailgate, revised rear side windows will differentiate the coupe from the regular Cayenne.
The powertrains will likely include twin-turbo engines: V6 (2.9-liter, 440-hp) and V8 for a Turbo variant (4.0-liter 541-hp). A plug-in hybrid and an all-electric versions are expected too.
The 2020 Porsche Cayenne Coupe positioned as a performance car, will have to compete with hot representatives of Audi, BMW, Mercedes and Land Rover Range Rover, when arrives: Audi RS Q8, BMW X6 M, Mercedes-AMG GLE63 Coupe, Range Rover Sport SVR.
Porsche will produce its coupe-like Cayenne in the Leipzig plant, which is also the place where the Macans and Panameras roll off the assembly line.
The base 2019 Porsche Cayenne is priced at $66,750. Quite natural, the coupe modification will cost more.
