Porsche says it accumulates reservations in several markets for the company’s first production all-electric vehicle called the Porsche Taycan. The customers’ reaction is “fantastic” even before the official disclose of the car.
This model with an all-electric powertrain is promised to be a “real Porsche”, which gives the same drive people expect from a Porsche car. Interestingly, the customers who made reservation have not seen the production car yet.
The Taycan is based on the Mission E Concept and will be a “class-leading electric car”. Often prototypes and production cars differ. But in this case the Taycan will be very close to the concept, as the car maker insists.
Some test mules under dense disguise were seen before, as well as the first teaser images released in June. According to Porsche’s UK managing director Alexander Pollich, the next 18 month they will develop and unveil the car. The company is also going to create a “supercharger network”.
Customers are asking to Porsche dealers how they can get to the top of the priority lists and access more info about the newcomer, Mr. Pollich says.
