Porsche 911 Sport Classic Returns for 2023 Model year

Porsche 911 Sport Classic 2023

The 2023 Porsche 911 Sport Classic with a distinctive ducktail spoiler was unveiled yesterday as a tribute to the 911 Carrera RS 2.7 of the early 1970s and part of the brand’s Heritage Design strategy.

The new Porsche 911 Sport Classic is based on the 911 Turbo S, but it is a rear-wheel-drive model. A familiar 3.7-liter twin-turbo flat-six engine of the Turbo S producing 543 horsepower and 442 pound-feet of torque powers the vehicle in pair with a seven-speed manual transmission.

Being a high-performance model, the 911 Sport Classic is equipped with such systems as Porsche Active Suspension Management (lowers the ground clearance by 10 mm), Rear Axle Steering, Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes, Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control, and an upgraded Sport Exhaust system. The Sport Chrono Package is also available.

Exterior

The exterior has a number of model-specific features such as Sport Grey Metallic paint and contrasting stripes in light Sport Grey, a fixed spoiler lip, unique 20/21-inch wheels, LED-Matrix Design headlamps in black, a carbon fiber reinforced plastic hood, and a double-bubble roof of the same material, graphics along the sides. The rear part features eliminated air intakes, wider fenders, and of course a large ducktail spoiler.

Other color choices available to the model are Agate Grey Metallic, Gentian Blue Metallic, and non-metallic black.

Interior

The cabin is as specific as the exterior. It uses semi-aniline leather, open-pore, dark Paldao wood, Pepita cloth upholstery, perforated Race-Tex fabric for a headliner, and embossed elements. There are retro-style details such as an analog tachometer and a Sport Chrono clock.

Moreover, customers can buy a unique configurable watch from Porsche Design – the Chronograph 911 Sport Classic in addition to a car.

The Porsche 911 Sport Classic will be available in late 2022 worldwide in a limited run of just 1,250 cars. The price will be revealed closer to the market launch, but for sure it will be high.
